Nicolás del Aguila is an argentinian drummer, composer and educator based in Brooklyn, New York. Born in Buenos Aires in 1990, he graduated from Conservatorio Manuel de Falla (Manuel de Falla Conservatory) and was awarded with the Raul Urtasún & Frances Harley Scholarship to attend the Banff International Workshop in Jazz and Creative Music, in Canada, directed by Vijay Iyer. He studied drums with Carto Brandán, Sergio Verdinelli and Pepi Taveira. He also took private lessons with master drummers as Nasheet Waits, Eric McPherson, Tom Rainey and Dan Weiss. He has several records as a sideman and as a leader: Perder Planetas, by Nicotina es Primavera (2018), Trio, by Nicolás del Aguila Trio (2017), Del Creador, by El Toro (2017), Encarnación, by Montañera (2017), among others.
